Broadway baby!

i can't wait....tomorrow my fam is spending the entire day in the windy city! although we only live 2 hours away, this will be my first time seeing a broadway in chicago. the plan is to first go window shopping and not spend any money....yeah right! ever since i was little i wanted to visit the american girl place. yeah, i'm nineteen but still young at heart. the main reason we're going to Chicago is to see Wicked! i've heard that it's really good and i love the music!!! The only thing better would be to see the Chicago Symphony!!!!!!
On Friday we're going to celebrate Nisha's 22 b-day (which was actually May 1), by going out to eat at Don Pablos and then go to Indy to see Les Miserables! I can't believe that we're going to see two broadways in one week! it's hard to contain this much excitement!!!!!!
Today was interesting....this morning mom, nisha, and i went blueberry picking at the prelocks. about half an hour later it starting raining really hard, so we had to leave. oh, and did i mention we were almost eaten by bugs! then i went to work at 10:30 but when i arrived they announced that the cove was closed for the day, so i ended up running to the bank and then buying a book shelf for my room, mainly for all the flute/piano/guitar/recorder/piccolo/sax/voice books that i have sitting in piles ALL OVER! i can't stand it anymore! so when i arrived to the furniture store i found some shelves that were the exact size i was looking for. the only problem was, they were available in oak, maple, and birch wood. ahhhh, too many choices! so i called my dad to find out which type of wood was the best....i went with oak in the end just cause it looked the sturdiest. oh, and then i had to choose a stain and a finish. piece of cake, right? there were about three different kinds of stains and finishes were also available with 'gloss', 'semigloss', 'satin', or'matte'. i never knew that choosing a bookshelf was so complicated! well, that's basically my rather uneventful day...however the pina colada was quite good!!! there was a can of pineapple juice sitting in the kitchen so i put it (the juice that is-- not the can) in the blender and added coconut cream, rum (extract), and crushed ice. yay for mocktails! okay....im done i promise!

K--I looked for you in church last night...it took me until nearly the end of the service to remember you were in Chicago seeing Wicked! Was it good? I'm sure it was.
